Assassin’s Creed Bundles Announced for Playstation 3 and Vita

Tonight’s Sony Press Conference was full of excitement from partnerships, new technology, and upcoming releases. One thing that gamers can find in stores in the upcoming months are bundles for both Playstation 3 and Vita.

The Playstation 3 bundle will come with Assassin’s Creed III, while the Vita bundle will come with Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and a 4GB memory card.

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation will feature a female lead, Aveline. Being a female gamer it is always exciting news to see strong female lead in an upcoming game.

Personally, I am not a fan of sequel bundles.  I say if I am to get a bundled system it would be for the originals, but that’s just me.  For those that don’t already own the system, they may not be ready for the third installment, and would have to go back and buy all previous games to get the full experience.  With Assassin’s Creed, it probably is worth it if you don’t already own the games anyway.

I enjoy bundles that have exclusive hardware cosmetic differences such as the Star Wars Xbox bundle or even the God of War PSP bundle, with the red PSP vs the black.  Even so, bundles are always fun to pick up for first timers to the console, or people who need a replacement.

Expect to see them in stores, October 30th, 2012.
